About Sichuan river

Sichuan River is the greatest Chinese restaurant in South Austin.

Sichuan river is a chinese restaurant in Austin, Texas. It is listed at 4534 West Gate Blvd Unit 105, Austin, TX 78745, which places it among the local businesses of Austin that residents and visitors turn to when they need this kind of service close by.

Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 11 amโ€“9:30 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (512) 892-6699. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone. More information is available on its website, sichuanriver.com.

Austin is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Austin is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

This place is amazing. Easily the best Asian food Iโ€™ve ever had, easily surpassing the best Asian restaurants in Austin and Houston. The selection is extremely large and of the many things Iโ€™ve had from the times I went, every single dish was phenomenal. My favorite dishes are easily the hot and sour soup and the the hot n spicy beef. My only problem with the atmosphere is there should be more people in the restaurant because of how great it is. The service and serving sizes are both amazing. Very attentive wait staff an abundance of food for a very good price.

This place has amazing food that is incredibly traditional. The prices are very good for austin and the portions are quite large. The staff is kind and quiet. Just come try it already, if you want an amazing plate of mapo tofu or another delicacy just come here. Highly recommended!

The food was great. So many good options so much to choose from. The portions were good to for dishes. We ordered the pupu platter. The mushroom salad, the spicy wonton, spicy fish, orange chicken and dry pot beef. Except for dry pot which tasted more like cumin beef leftover. Rest all was as good as you can get in a sichuan place. We loved the flavors. We will definitely try to come again. As our favourite A+A is no longer dine in or take out too. Only downside was that the rice given to us with dishes was very less portion and though we told them no celery they still put celery.

First time down in Austin from New Jersey and definitely recommend this place. They had both authentic Chinese and Americanized Chinese food! We got a few dishes to try and really enjoyed everything and the portions were extremely generous too. They are so kind there and I definitely would go back next visit to Texas! Everyone should come here for if you want a delicious and filling meal!!

Homestyle family run chinese place. Good szechuan food, large portions, good for the price. Recommend the Cumin lamb and mapo tofu. Ask for vinegar and enjoy with rice. Service is funny and friendly, and you can get a table even on a saturday night no problem. Donโ€™t come here expecting fancy service and bells and whistles. Come here for good fresh food at a decent price that is consistent and tasty. 6/5
